Community Alert: Shooting, Wesley Chapel

Officers with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of ​​Marquette Ave. around 7:30 p.m. of Wesley Chapel took place. Preliminary information indicates that an adult male shot and killed an adult female at a residence after being involved in an argument. Upon arrival, officers located the woman and took her to medical attention. The suspect barricaded himself in the apartment. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety. An update will be provided as soon as it is available.
