BWWB issues boiling water warning after main break

The Birmingham Water Works Board has issued a boil water warning following a water main break on Friday morning. The panel says this applies to all customers affected by the rupture in northwest Jefferson County. During the boil water warning, the agency is asking customers to bring the water to a boil for at least three minutes and allow it to cool before using, or to use bottled water instead.
