Houston police officer injured after being T-boned

DATE/TIME OF INCIDENT: 10:00 p.m. 5-7-24
LOCATION: Bissonnet and Kirkwood

DETAILS:

1. A patrol unit identified by HPD was preparing to stop a vehicle traveling west on Bissonnet when it was struck at the intersection.
2. The driver of the vehicle in collision was transported with minor injuries.
3. A female officer sitting in the passenger seat of the HPD patrol car was transported with minor injuries.
4. The police officer behind the wheel was not injured
5. Officers are believed to be assigned to the northwest patrol area
6. It is not yet known who is responsible for the accident.
