Dehradun: An 11-year-old deaf-mute girl was reportedly gang-raped by two brothers aged 7 and 12 in Vikasnagar area of ​​Dehradun on Thursday. The boys had lured the girl to a nearby agricultural field with 10 rupees. According to the police, a case was opened against the two minors after the girl’s mother filed a police report on Thursday evening. Sub-inspector Pankaj Tiwari of Vikasnagar police station said that the girl and the accused minors lived in the same area. “The incident came to light after another minor girl who witnessed the incident informed the 11-year-old’s mother about it. The incident took place in the afternoon,” Tiwari said. He added that after news of the incident spread, the family of the accused boys locked their house and fled with them. “Based on the complaint, a case of gang rape was registered against the boys under relevant sections of the IPC and the Pocso Act. Meanwhile, the girl was taken to a hospital for medical examination as per the law. The report is awaited and an investigation is underway,” Tiwari said.
