Tesla faces NLRB complaint for allegedly obstructing unionization efforts at Buffalo plant | National

The National Labor Relations Board has filed a lawsuit against Tesla, accusing the company of taking steps to discourage employees at its Buffalo, New York, factory from unionizing. The NLRB says Tesla implemented an “acceptable use policy” in 2023 that restricts recording, unauthorized solicitation and the creation of distribution lists. This policy allegedly interfered with workers’ organizational rights legally protected under the National Labor Relations Act. Tesla’s Buffalo factory assembles electric vehicle charging equipment and houses an AI data labeling team. The factory laid off 285 workers last month as Tesla cut jobs globally due to falling electric vehicle sales.
