14-year-old girl raped in moving bus full of passengers in Churu in Rajasthan, accused held

In a shocking incident in Rajasthan, a 14-year-old girl was raped on a moving sleeper bus between Bikaner and Jaisalmer on April 28. The incident took place in Ratannagar area of ​​Churu district.

According to Ratannagar police station officer Jaiprakash, the accused, 21-year-old Anil Meghwal, a resident of Dhadhariya Banirotan village, had raped the minor girl in Dharamshala of Dhadhariya village for about one and a half years by drugging her juice before . During the crime, he also took obscene photos of the girl with which he blackmailed her.

On April 28, the accused had stopped the minor on her way to the store and kidnapped her by threatening to publish her obscene photo on social media. Anil then took the minor on a sleeper bus traveling from Sardarshahr to Jaisalmer and raped the 14-year-old twice in the moving bus.

The victim, an 8th grade student, lodged a complaint in the case following which the police intervened and arrested the accused.

Based on the victim’s report, the police have registered a case against Anil Meghwal under various sections of the IPC, including POCSO. The accused was produced before the court and sent to police custody for two days. An investigation into the case is underway.

The defendant raped the minor for the first time when she was only twelve and a half years old.
