Two crashes are blocking all lanes of I-26E near the Dorchester Co. line

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Traffic cameras showed drivers making a U-turn on I-26 after a crash blocked all eastbound lanes in Dorchester County Friday afternoon.

An accident was reported near the Volvo Car Drive exit at mile marker 189 in Berkeley County. The second crash was reported at the Ridgeville exit two miles west in Dorchester County.

In both accidents, all eastbound lanes were blocked. Emergency crews appeared to be at the scene of the exit at mile marker 187, where SCDOT cameras showed some cars making U-turns on the highway.

There was initially no information about injuries.

Motorists should seek an alternative route or expect delays in the area.
