The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old injured. Sheriff Tyree Jones said the shooting happened Friday at the Rebelwood Apartments, now known as Pine Ridge Gardens, on Rebel Woods Drive in Jackson. Jones said the teen was shot in the torso and taken to a hospital. His condition was initially unknown. “A person of interest has been arrested,” Jones said on X, formerly Twitter. The names of those involved were not disclosed. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
