“Alert: Missing Persons Unit” renewed for third season on Fox

Fox will keep its missing persons unit in operation for another season.

The network has renewed drama series “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” for a third season in 2024-25. The series will continue in production after the conclusion of the second season, which will save episodes before the next season and perhaps serve as a hedge against a possible IATSE strike in the summer.

“Alert” is one of just two dramas Fox aired in 2023-24 as the network relied heavily on its unscripted and animated rosters, which were unaffected by last year’s double whammy. Fox has not yet made a statement about the other drama, “The Cleaning Lady.”

“Alert” stars Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez as Philadelphia detectives who lead the city’s missing persons unit and work to locate missing or kidnapped people and reunite them with their loved ones. Adeola Role, Ryan Broussard and Alisha-Marie Ahamed also star…
