Beloved KTLA and Hollywood Uncensored host dies after being rushed to hospital in LA

Veteran KTLA reporter Sam Rubin has died at age 64.

The popular Hollywood Uncensored host died Friday after being hospitalized in Los Angeles, KTLA confirmed.

According to Variety, Rubin apparently suffered a heart attack at home after airing his regular morning Hollywood news segment.

He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The reporter, who was on the air just yesterday, has worked at KTLA since 1991, covering entertainment, movies and television.

His work has earned him multiple Emmys, a Golden Mike Award and a Best Entertainment Reporter award from the Los Angeles Press Club.

Hollywood Uncensored, starring Sam Rubin, ran for 120 episodes and was produced by his production company SRE, Inc.

SRE has also produced over 200 hours of programming for broadcast and cable channels, including Live From red carpet shows.

Rubin was also a founding member of the Broadcast Film Critics’ Association.

He leaves behind his wife Leslie and four children.
