Brothers arrested after attack in Lakeside | Local News

Upon arrival, it was discovered that the suspects had shown up at the apartment demanding money or the keys to a vehicle that belonged to the victim. Probable cause was given for the Labart brothers’ arrest, and multiple agencies attempted to locate them and the vehicle in which they fled the scene.

The suspects were later located by the Reedsport Police Department and arrested for their involvement in the attack. Both men were taken to the Coos County Jail where they were booked and charged with the following alleged crimes: third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, strangulation and attempted second-degree assault.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon State Police and the Reedsport Police Department for their assistance in the investigation and apprehension of the suspects.
