Police seek suspect in fatal McDonald’s shooting in Houston

Authorities have released the name of the suspect wanted in the alleged shooting and killing of a Houston lawyer at a McDonald’s.

Anthony Martin Landry, 57, is charged with murder after Houston police say he shot and killed 46-year-old Jeffrey Limmer on May 4.

Police are still searching for Landry after they say he shot Limmer before fleeing the scene in a blue pickup truck.

KTRK reported, citing police, that Limmer tried to calm Landry, who was angry at the McDonald’s employees, before an altercation broke out. Police said Limmer pushed Landry to the ground outside the restaurant before he allegedly pulled a gun from his car and shot the lawyer, the outlet reported.

“He loved his family and friends very much,” Limmer’s sister Jennifer Thomas told KTRK. “Always laugh, make jokes and just love life.”

Thomas also told the outlet that her family was proud of her brother for standing up for McDonald’s employees and acting as a “good Samaritan.”
