REST OF TODAY:

There will be a lot of clouds hanging around this afternoon. There could be a brief period of rain or rain for some, especially east of Nashville. However, at some point the sun will return. It will be windy and mild, with highs in the 60s and low 70s. Communities along/near the Upper Cumberland Plateau will be cooler with highs around 60 degrees.

It’s going to be cold tonight. Near sunrise, lows will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

THIS WEEKEND:

Tomorrow there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine. We will have a light breeze. Low: 53. High: 77.

Sunday/Mother’s Day looks beautiful! Temperatures will start the day in the low 50s. Sunshine will push temperatures into the high 80s by late afternoon.

NEXT WEEK:

Showers and thunderstorms will move in from the south again on Monday.

Tuesday will see clouds, more frequent showers and storms, and higher humidity.

On Wednesday there will be persistent isolated showers and storms.

Thursday looks dry for now.

There will be more showers and storms on Friday.

At this point, it looks like the main severe storm threat may remain near the Gulf Coast next week. We will of course be monitoring this throughout the weekend.
