Truck driver wanted for sexual assault while posing as fake Uber

Police are searching for a truck driver accused of sexually assaulting a woman outside a bar in California while posing as a fake Uber driver.

The alleged kidnapping and attack occurred on April 21 near Fresno, California. Now the police assume that the 27-year-old truck driver in question could be anywhere as part of his job as a truck driver.

According to ABC 6, 27-year-old Bikramjit Singh falsely posed as an Uber driver outside a bar when a woman got into his car. Singh then drove the woman to another location where he sexually assaulted her and told her that he had committed similar crimes before.

The police investigation revealed that Singh used his roommate’s SUV to pose as a fake Uber and that he even removed the license plates. Uber has confirmed that the SUV used by Singh was not registered with the ride-sharing company and that the victim had not even requested a ride on the evening of the crime. The police have found no evidence of additional victims.

Singh works as an OTR truck driver and the police do not know his current whereabouts. Anyone with information about Singh is asked to contact Clovis police.
