Skye Blue is “beyond overwhelmed” by the support after the incident with the ROH fan.

Skye Blue is “overwhelmed” by the support she has received following a fan incident at this week’s Ring of Honor televised tapings.

At the taping, a fan was kicked off the show for making what referee Aubrey Edwards called “disgusting, vile, hateful” comments toward Blue. Rachael Ellering, Blue’s opponent in the match, described the comments as sexual harassment. Ellering said she had never heard such vulgar things said to a wrestler during a match. Both Edwards and Ellering said the fan’s comments were much more than just heckling.

Blue posted a tweet overnight thanking everyone for the love and support she has received. She wants to make sure future generations of female wrestlers don’t have to deal with something like this.

The ROH taping took place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in conjunction with AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night. Matches from the show have yet to air on ROH TV.

Blue is aligned with Julia Hart in AEW, although Hart will be out of action for some time following shoulder surgery. Blue unsuccessfully challenged Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship in a Manitoba Massacre match on Rampage last week.
