Minneapolis murder suspect arrested in Fargo | The mighty 790 KFGO

MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – A man who was living in Fargo at the time of his arrest has been charged with murder in Minneapolis.

Suleiman Ali, 30, is believed to have left the country after shooting a man on October 30, 2013, but returned from Somalia two years ago.

Minneapolis police say they learned from a woman in 2022 that Ali had admitted to shooting a man in a car. The 26-year-old victim died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Ali was in the back seat. Ali’s DNA profile matched the profile of a torn jacket sleeve found at the crime scene.

Ali was arrested on May 1st. He remains in the Hennepin County Jail.
