PSP: Two dead after multi-car accident due to speeding and rain

WAYNE TWP., SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — According to state police, two people were killed in a two-car accident caused by speeding and rain.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, an accident occurred around midnight Friday on State Route 183 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.


According to police, the car was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control due to the rainy conditions on the road.

According to PSP, the driver entered the northbound lane and collided with another car.

The driver of the first car, Nathan Reedy, 23, of Schuykl Havn, and the passenger, Italia Deering, 19, of Auburn, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Schuylkill County coroner.

The second driver, a 56-year-old woman from Pottsville, was taken to the hospital with suspected minor injuries.
