Ebony Alert: Kamara Green from Elk Grove missing

She was last seen on May 14 on Auberry Drive and Power Inn Road.

ELK GROVE, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol has issued an Ebony Alert for a 14-year-old girl in Sacramento County.

According to CHPKamara Green was last seen on May 14 around 8:00 a.m. on Auberry Drive and Power Inn Road in Elk Grove.

She was last seen wearing a black turtleneck dress, black pants and flip-flops.

She is about 1.65 m tall and weighs about 57 kg. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

WHAT IS AN EBONY ALERT?

California’s Ebony Alert Program was established by Senate Resolution 673 and took effect in January 2024.

It is a resource for authorities investigating the suspicious or unexplained disappearance of a Black woman or person.

Certain criteria must apply to me, including:

  • The missing person is between 12 and 25 years old.
  • The missing person suffers from a mental or physical disability.
  • The person is missing under circumstances that indicate any of the following: (A) the missing person’s physical safety may be at risk, or (B) the missing person may be a victim of human trafficking.
  • The law enforcement agency determines that the person has disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances.
  • The law enforcement agency believes that the person is in danger because of age, health, mental or physical disability, environmental or weather conditions, that the person is in the company of a potentially dangerous person, or that other factors indicate that the person may be in danger.
  • The investigating law enforcement agency utilized available local resources.
  • There is information which, if made public, could help to safely locate the missing person.
