Car that ignored stop sign rams Ogden’s patrol car, which then rams a nearby building

OGDEN- An Ogden Police patrol car went out of control and crashed into a building Monday morning after a driver allegedly ignored a stop sign and struck the vehicle.

According to Ogden police, a car ran a stop sign at the intersection of 2100 Monroe Blvd. without stopping and struck the side of an Ogden police cruiser. The accident caused the cruiser to veer off the road and strike a nearby building, police said.

“There were several witnesses and the driver of the passenger vehicle (a man in his early 50s) admitted to running the stop sign without stopping. The man was spotted in a stop sign violation,” the police Facebook post said.

Police said both drivers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
