29-year-old young graduate student identified as woman killed in I-20 crash – WSB-TV Channel 2

COBB COUNTY, Ga. – A woman killed in a tractor-trailer crash on I-20 last week has been identified as a recent graduate of her doctorate.

Carolina Figueroa-Mora, 29, was killed on I-20 west of Riverside Parkway in Cobb County on July 25. Police said Figueroa’s Pontiac G6 suddenly made a U-turn around 3:30 a.m. and struck a median wall. A semi-truck struck the rear of the Pontiac, causing the car to roll over.

Figueroa-Mora from Villa Rica was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is unclear why she lost control of the car.

According to social media, she was a graduate of Georgia State University and Villa Rica High School and worked in healthcare.
