Penguins to participate in Buffalo Prospects Challenge

The Pittsburgh Penguins will once again participate in the Prospect Challenge hosted by the Buffalo Sabres in September at LECOM Harborcenter.

The event consists of a series of friendly games between prospects from six NHL teams. In addition to the Penguins and Sabres, the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators will participate.

The schedule for the event was released Tuesday. The Penguins’ games are as follows:

September 13 – against the Bruins, at noon

September 14 – against the Senators, at noon

September 16 – against the Sabres, 5 p.m.

The rosters have not yet been announced. The Penguins have been participating in this event for a few years.
