Man dies in overnight shooting in Victorville; murder investigation underway – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Victorville in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez, officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at approximately 2:13 a.m.

“Upon arrival, officers found a man shot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene,” Rodriguez reported.

The investigation is currently focusing on a dark gray SUV that was found sideways on Seneca Road, east of Diamond Road.

Due to the ongoing investigation, Seneca Road has been closed between Emerald and Cobalt Road.

Rodriguez stated that a press release would be issued as soon as more information was available.
