Angelina Jolie is together with her 20-year-old son Pax after his accident: Source

Angelina Jolie is by her son Pax’s side as he recovers from an accident in Los Angeles.

According to a source, 49-year-old Jolie “was with him and reported that he was fine.”

Pax, 20, was reportedly hospitalized following an accident in LA on Monday, July 29. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources told the outlet that Pax was not wearing a helmet while riding an e-bike in a busy area on Los Feliz Boulevard around 5 p.m. when the accident occurred. He reportedly suffered a head injury and pain in his hip.

The Los Angeles Police Department told PEOPLE that a man in his early 20s was riding a scooter when an accident was reported at 5:12 p.m. on July 29, and that a serious traffic accident report was filled out.

Jolie has Pax and five other children with her ex Brad Pitt: Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

Representatives for Jolie and Pitt did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In early July, a source told PEOPLE that Jolie now “seems very happy and content with her life” and that she continues to “focus on her children and her work.”

The Oscar winner worked with Pax and Maddox on her upcoming film Without bloodwhich she directed together with her sons. The film will have its world premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.

Another source recently told PEOPLE that Pitt, 60, has “virtually no contact” with his adult children, but that he has “visitation rights with the younger children” under his agreement with Jolie.
