Two dead in shooting south of Topeka

SHAWNEE COUNTY (KSNT) – Local police report two people died from gunshot wounds in a neighborhood south of Topeka.

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office posted a report on social media on Tuesday, July 30, about a shooting incident reported in the 1600 block of SW 70th Street around 7:45 p.m. on July 29. When officers arrived on scene, they found two people dead from gunshot wounds.


Initial investigation into the incident indicates a domestic incident. The Sheriff’s Office believes no other people are involved in the situation. No further information is available at this time.
