Andrew Lofton: Dear Drew, will the Texans be ready for the added pressure this season?
DD: We’ll see. But it looks like they will. From head coach DeMeco Ryans to quarterback CJ Stroud and the rest of the players, it doesn’t look like the outside expectations match the expectations they have as coaches and players. And those outside expectations are pretty damn high.

We’ve heard Stroud reference the term “pressure is a privilege” several times over the past year, and based on his performance as a rookie, he thrived when the pressure was on him.

It looks like he’ll be ready for that pressure in 2024, along with the rest of the team.

Elijah Soufi: Dear Drew, hello! Which receiver do you think will have the most receptions and touchdowns and be the number 1 receiver for years to come?
DD: Nico Collins seems to be the favorite. He just signed a new contract this offseason, is coming off a 1,200-yard season and has already made a lot of plays in training camp.

But he’ll have competition from Tank Dell, who is also playing well in camp and was on pace for a 1,000-yard campaign before his injury in early December 2023.

If Stefon Diggs has a good year and re-signs with the club, then he could be part of your mix.

But the bottom line is this: It’s a good question to ponder, because the Texans appear to have several options in those three, and perhaps in a player who could emerge independently of that trio.
