Six people arrested, one still wanted, while drive-by shooting and murder investigation play a role in Roseland

ROSELAND – Officials have arrested six people and are searching for another suspect in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred in early July.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred on Monday, July 1. A man who was retrieving items from his car was repeatedly shot at by people driving past his home; he was not injured.

Officers discovered that the man was a witness in another murder investigation and that the shooting was part of a murder-for-hire plot.

Six people were arrested in the course of the shooting investigation: Broderick Coleman (19), Randall Brewer (32), Jermaine Henderson (45), Patricia Kirby (18), Mason Otero (21) and Justin Summerford (27). Coleman was arrested for attempted premeditated murder of a witness.

The seventh suspect, 26-year-old Khyle Deitch, is wanted for attempted premeditated murder of a witness.
