The attack occurred on Monday in the British coastal town of Southport

Taylor Swift says she is “in shock” and “completely at a loss” after three children were stabbed and killed at a dance workshop honoring her music in the small British seaside town of Southport on Monday.

“Nine other children were injured in the attack, six of them critically,” NBC News reported. Two adults were also seriously injured while trying to defend the children.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport still overwhelms me, and I“I am just completely shocked,” Swift wrote in a message on Instagram on Tuesday. “The loss of life and innocence and the horrific trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families and the first responders. These were just little children in A dance class. I am at A complete loss for how To ever convey my condolences To these families.”

The suspected attacker, a 17-year-old boy, has been arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder in connection with the stabbing. Police have not yet found a motive but say they do not consider the attack to be terrorist-related.

The Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class was advertised for children between the ages of six and eleven.
