Massachusetts man arrested for allegedly molesting 15-year-old girl in Bunnell | Observer Local News

A Bridgewater, Massachusetts man was taken into custody on July 29 after allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Bunnell in June.

James Torello, 25, was in Bunnell visiting family in early June when he allegedly abused his young family member. He flew home to Massachusetts early the next morning, June 7.

Later that day, the girl told her parents that Torello had sexually assaulted her, and they immediately contacted the sheriff’s office, according to Torello’s arrest report. The girl said Torello had sent her Snapchat messages the night before, asking her to touch her breast, but she thought he was joking.

She said he came into her room the night before his flight while she was sleeping and fondled and kissed her breast. The girl said she woke up while he was touching her and saw him leave an e-cigarette on her nightstand when he left the room, the report said.

The mother told investigators she knew Torello had “issues” but she believed they were resolved, the report said. In a recorded phone call with the girl’s father, Torello admitted to abusing the 15-year-old girl. Torello also said he knew he was “addicted to incest,” the report said.

After completing the investigation, the investigator filed sexual abuse charges against Torello with the district attorney’s office. A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 26, and Torello turned himself in to the FCSO on July 29, court records show.

Torello is being held without bail in the Flagler County Jail.
