Woman dies in hit-and-run accident with pedestrian on Gage Avenue in Florence

FLORENCE, CA (July 30, 2024) – A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Gage Avenue near Broadway.

Los Angeles police responded to the reports at around 1:11 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, officers found a woman who had been struck by a car that had left the scene before they arrived. Paramedics took the critically injured woman to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Officials have not yet been able to determine the identity of the 48-year-old woman.

As for the driver, police are asking for help in identifying the suspect and type of vehicle involved in this fatal hit-and-run crash. Anyone with information can call the Los Angeles Police Department.
