Three minors were arrested after nearly 50 car break-ins in Simpsonville

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (WSPA) – Three minors have been arrested after nearly 50 car break-ins in Simpsonville that spanned over four months.

According to the City of Simpsonville, police have responded to and investigated several incidents of carjackings and motor vehicle thefts since January.

Officials said the burglaries affected 46 victims.

Following an investigation, three juvenile suspects were arrested for auto theft, motor vehicle theft, larceny and other related crimes.

Two suspects were taken to the juvenile detention center while the third was released to a parent.

The city said the following areas were affected by the crimes:

  • Harrison Bridge Road: Hipps Crossing, Merrydale Village and Legacy Reserve
  • Grandview Drive: Spring Creek Apartments and Stillwater at Grandview Apartments,
  • West Georgia Road: Oak Pointe Apartments and Waterleaf Apartments
