(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Brewers beat the Braves 8-3 in their series opener at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Monday.

Willy Adames hit a three-run home run – his 17th of the season – while Rhys Hoskins and Jackson Chourio also hit long shots.

Hoby Milner earned the win in relief as Milwaukee won two straight games to remain first in the NL Central with 61 and 45.

The Cardinals are seven games behind.
