Buffalo Adventures summer camp ends | In today’s Daily Sun | The Villages Daily Sun

For most kids, school is the last place they want to spend time during summer vacation. But that’s not the case here.

The Villages Charter School’s Buffalo Adventures program held its annual summer camp from June 10 through Friday at both campuses. School wasn’t in session, but for seven weeks, about 300 students noisily filled the same hallways they roam the rest of the year. But now it was all about having fun and making memories.

“The camp went really well this year,” said Lana Hood, director of Buffalo Adventures. “The kids and guides enjoyed all the thoughtful presentations and interactions with our community businesses, the games, learning new crafts and skills, and being with their friends.”

During the winter and spring breaks, Buffalo Adventures hosts seasonal camps. Each week of camp has its own theme, from fairy tales to aliens to patriotism.
