4 injured in boating accident near Estell Manor Park

A young child was reportedly flown to hospital by helicopter after a boat ran aground on Stephen Creek in Estell Manor Park.

The accident occurred late Sunday afternoon.

Boat driver fled the scene of the accident

According to the Dorothy Volunteer Fire Department, the accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Estell Manor Park. A photo shows the crashed 18-foot boat some distance from the water.

Four people were taken to hospital for treatment, including a small child who was taken to hospital by helicopter.

Daniel Bollinger, 37, of Egg Harbor City was reportedly operating the boat at the time of the accident. He left the scene of the accident but then went to the State Police building in Buena Vista and reported the accident. He is charged with willful leaving the scene of an accident causing injury and third-degree assault with an automobile.

The names of none of the injured have been released publicly.
