Three dead after car crash and arson attack on Sunday in Rialto – San Bernardino Sun

Three people died when a driver lost control of his vehicle, which crashed and burst into flames in Rialto early Sunday.

Officers were called to the accident around 2:35 a.m. on the westbound 210 Freeway near North Pepper Avenue, California Highway Patrol spokesman Ivan Sandoval said.

When officers arrived, they found the vehicle on fire.

Three adults, including an 18-year-old man and two women, ages 19 and 57, were thrown from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims were residents of Victorville.

Witnesses told officers that the vehicle was traveling in the right lane when it moved into the left lane, then drifted back to the right and eventually left the road.

Officials do not yet know which of the victims was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
