‘Darth Vader’s’ home next to Buffalo Speedway in West University Place, Texas, is for sale for $3.75 million

WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE, Texas (KTRK) — The famous “Darth Vader” house on West University Place is back on the market for $3.75 million.

The events at the home have been at the center of an ongoing lawsuit between the city of West University Place and DV1, a limited liability company that owns the home.

The legal documents name Brent Franklin, who calls himself the “Real Million Dollar Closer” on Instagram, as the LLC’s representative and at least one time tenant of the home.

Court documents show online advertisements, some taken from Franklin’s Instagram page, for events held at the home. The city claimed the events violated its zoning rules, primarily regarding zoning and parking.

Amid a dispute over a planned May 2023 event advertised to contractors, Franklin told the city he hosted a house party for free.

The city, however, presented evidence that the tickets were sold for $100.

The city asked Franklin to cease and desist the events, but social media posts show he and his peers continued to advertise another event in September.

The documents show that the LLC and Franklin, whose Instagram bio says he helps “high net worth individuals grow their money through real estate and oil,” & investing in gas while offsetting tax obligations,” were also prosecuted for tax delinquency in 2022. The documents indicate that he had not yet paid nearly a quarter of the property taxes.

The taxes were paid in 2023 and the case was closed.
