Ishpeming man arrested for child sex abuse | News, Sports, Jobs

MARQUETTE – Michigan State Police announced Monday that a 57-year-old Ishpeming man was arrested on child sexual abuse charges.

According to the Minnesota State Police Department’s Computer Crimes Unit, Timothy Paul Romback was arrested following an investigation that was launched after it was discovered that Romback had allegedly viewed sexually abusive child abuse images online.

During a search of Romback’s apartment, digital evidence was seized.

Romback was charged with ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse of children and ten counts of using a computer to commit crimes.

Romback was arraigned in 96th District Court on July 22.

If convicted, Romback faces up to 25 years in prison for child sexual abuse and an additional 20 years for using a computer to commit a crime.
