Suspect attacks ex-girlfriend and man with shovel in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A suspect is accused of violently attacking his ex-girlfriend and a man at a Fresno home on Monday night.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at a home near Balch Avenue and Callisch Avenue.

According to Fresno police, a woman and a man she was friends with went to her ex-boyfriend’s house to drop off some things.

During the argument, the suspect attacked the woman and her friend with a shovel, according to police.

Officials said the suspect also sustained cuts to his arm after the attack.

The suspect and the victims were all taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Investigators are still trying to determine what happened before the attack.
