SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 10, 2024) – A three-car crash at Elverta Road and Dominion Way has left one driver dead and another driver facing drunken driving charges.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on May 7 around 9:20 p.m. For an unknown reason, a driver of a Ford Ranger rear-ended a Ram 1500 westbound on Elverta Road. The Ram truck then ended up in the eastbound lane of Elverta Road, where an eastbound Ford F-150 collided with it.

Paramedics then responded and confirmed that the Ford Ranger driver had died at the scene. Officials did not release his name. The driver of the Ram 1500 suffered minor injuries and the driver of the Ford F-150 reportedly left the scene.

Not long after, police found the suspect’s vehicle traveling eastbound and arrested him for hit-and-run and drunk driving.

If anyone has any additional information about this fatal multi-car crash, please call the CHP.
