Kansas City man seriously injured in Clinton County crash | News

CLINTON COUNTY, Missouri – A Kansas City man was injured in a car crash in Clinton County this afternoon.

The crash occurred on southbound Interstate 35 at the 50.4 mile marker just before 2 a.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car driven by 85-year-old Dannie Cornwell of Kansas City was traveling southbound when he began to brake and veered off the east side of the road. Cornwell’s car struck a guardrail and plunged partially down an embankment before coming to a stop.

Cornwell suffered serious injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital.
