AEW Cast Members Speak Out About Skye Blue Fan Harassment Incident Due to ROH Tapings

According to a recent report, a fan was kicked out of Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada after making several inappropriate comments towards Skye Blue during her pre-taped Ring of Honor match against Rachael Ellering. According to PWInsider, the same spectator was confronted by Blue, who told them to “fuck off,” and later by security at the request of referee Aubrey Edwards. After speaking to security, the fan, who was also reportedly accompanied by a small child, was thrown out of the venue. After this harassment incident, Ellering, Edwards and Blue have now spoken out about it.

“The speed with which (Aubery Edwards) and I got out of the ring after the match last night to throw that bastard out was remarkable. Speeds of Olympic medalists,” Ellering wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I have NEVER in my career heard such vulgar things said to a talent during a game. Sexual harassment is not heckling.”

Ellering also noted that this situation did not reflect the entire AEW fanbase, as the aforementioned viewer was not a fan, but rather “a pervert who should be banned from shows for life.”

Referee Aubrey Edwards pressed “You made the cast (myself included) uncomfortable in their workplace, you went too far.”

After seeing an outpouring of support from her fans and colleagues on social media, Blue released a thank you statement reiterating that her efforts were greatly appreciated. However, looking forward, Blue also wants to make sure that future waves of female wrestlers “don’t have to deal with this shit.”
