Monitoring potential tropical development; clear skies expected Monday night – 104.5 WOKV

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The current tropical development potential in the Central Atlantic could approach the Southeastern United States this weekend with a wide range of possibilities.

Action News Jax First Alert chief meteorologist Mike Buresh said the forecast was highly uncertain as to the exact direction and intensity, even if it did occur.

It looks like the riots will take place somewhere near Florida this weekend.

At the moment, the storm appears to be weakened as it approaches Florida.

The impact on the ground appears to be minor at this point.

Buresh said it is important to check the First Alert Weather team’s forecast daily and “Talking to Mike about the tropics” to get the latest information.

Here’s what you can expect for the rest of Monday:

  • A dry day will lead to mostly clear skies overnight in most parts of the region.
  • An isolated evening storm is possible in southeast Georgia and Putnam County far south of Jacksonville.
  • On Tuesday, the probability of isolated storms is greater, but not before maximum temperatures reach between 35 and 35 degrees Celsius.
  • The rest of the week will be hot with highs of around 30 degrees and at least a few afternoon thunderstorms every day.
