Man dies in construction accident in Paradise Valley

Rescue workers found a dead man in a house under construction.

PARADISE VALLEY, Arizona – A man is dead after being found inside a home under construction in Paradise Valley.

At around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, crews from the Phoenix and Scottsdale fire departments were dispatched to a construction site near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road because a person was reportedly trapped under fallen debris.

When firefighters found a man involved in the incident, they determined that resuscitation efforts were beyond their ability, officials said.

According to the authorities, initial information indicated that several windows from a crane in use at the construction site had fallen onto an employee working there.

Technical rescue teams from Phoenix and Scottsdale were on site to assist in recovering the bodies.

Officials are investigating the incident.
