Maryland State Police have arrested a man on murder charges in connection with the killing of his wife.Matthew Glowacki, 50, of Westminster, was arrested on Sunday on second-degree murder charges, state police said in a statement. He remains incarcerated without bail at the Carroll County Detention Center.State police said officers were called to a home in the 1200 block of Ridge Road after noon Saturday because a woman was attempting to harm herself.Police identified the woman as Glowacki’s wife, Miriam Glowacki, 45, of Westminster, and said officers found her with multiple apparent stab wounds. She was taken to Carroll County Hospital Center, where she died.Police said autopsy results indicated homicide as the cause of death. The motive is still under investigation.Officers made contact with Matthew Glowacki at the scene, and evidence at the scene later identified him as a suspect, police said.
