Child molester and animal abuser from Wisbech sentenced to 25 years in prison

Shaun Bolingbroke had attacked the child in June 2020 and had repeatedly physically attacked other children.

In October of the same year, the crimes came to light and the 32-year-old was arrested.

When police searched his phone, they discovered 54 illegal images of children, as well as an image and video of Bolingbroke sexually abusing a dog.

On 23 July, Bolingbroke, from Wisbech, was found guilty of raping a child under the age of 13 at Cambridge Crown Court and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

He pleaded guilty to taking indecent photographs of children, possessing an extremely pornographic image, having sexual intercourse with an animal and four counts of animal cruelty to a person under 16.

Bolingbroke was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order.

DC Annette Renwick said: “Bolingbroke is an incredibly dangerous offender who has left lasting psychological scars on the children he has abhorrently abused.

“Bolingbroke took advantage of their vulnerability and I hope this verdict will provide them and their families with some comfort and the opportunity to move on with their lives.”
