Two young adults from Duxbury killed in fire accident in Vermont

In the early hours of Sunday morning, two young adults from the South Shore were killed in a car crash in Vermont, according to the Vermont State Police.

The driver, Sean Delaney, 19, and his passenger, Elana Korey, 20, both of Duxubry, died at the scene.

At around 5 a.m., emergency crews responded to the crash on I-89 North in Middlesex, northwest of Montpelier.

Emergency responders said they found the 2006 Lexus ablaze when they arrived and pronounced the driver and passenger dead at the scene.

According to Vermont State Police, speed was a contributing factor in the crash. Although it was foggy, road conditions were clear and there was little traffic.
