New Gold resumes mining after incident

New Gold (TSE: NGD) has released an update.

New Gold Inc. has resumed operations at the Rainy River Mine in northwestern Ontario following a temporary pause due to the tragic death of an employee. The mine has been safely restarted without impact to equipment or infrastructure and the Company is actively cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation. New Gold places the highest priority on the health and safety of its employees and extends its condolences to those affected by the incident.
