Brazilian oil and gas company Enauta has resumed production of the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel operating in the Atlanta field, offshore Brazil.

Production at Atlanta Field resumed on July 26 and the maintenance period of the Petrojarl I FPSO ended with the option to operate the platform until the fourth quarter of 2024.

Production from the platform has completed its ramp-up and is currently around 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

In June, Enauta decided to stop production of the Petrojarl I FPSO to carry out maintenance-related modifications to certain equipment following inspections at the Atlanta field processing plant.

A month earlier, Enauta had completed the five-day maintenance operation on the FPSO and brought it back online, resuming production on the ground.

Petrojarl I will be replaced by the larger capacity FPSO Atlanta, which is already anchored in the field.

Chartered by Malaysian company Yinson Production, the Atlanta FPSO has the capacity to process 50,000 barrels of oil per day, 140,000 barrels of water per day and store 1.6 million barrels of oil. For comparison, Petrojarl I has a production capacity of 30,000 barrels of oil per day and a storage capacity of 180,000.
