1 dead after shooting outside lounge in Clarksville, Tennessee: Police

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Detectives have launched a homicide investigation after a shooting outside a Clarksville lounge Sunday night.

According to Clarksville Police, a 911 call came in at approximately 11:18 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, regarding a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Lyrics Lounge in the 1300 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Authorities reported that officers arrived at the scene one minute after the call and spoke with a witness who allegedly told them that those involved fled north on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Shortly thereafter, officers were notified that two men had arrived at Tennova Healthcare’s emergency room with gunshot wounds. Both men were reportedly flown to Nashville to receive treatment for their injuries.

Clarksville police said one of the victims was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His identity will not be released until officials can confirm that family has been notified, police said.

Meanwhile, officials said the condition of the second victim remains unknown. Further details about the shooting were not immediately released.
