Malayalam actors Arjun Ashokan and Sangeeth Prathap ‘now safe’ after accident on Bromance set

Actors Arjun Ashokan (Bramayugam fame) and Sangeeth Prathap (Premalu fame) met with an accident on Saturday while shooting a chase sequence for their upcoming film Bromance. Sangeeth confirmed the news and posted a message on Instagram clearing up some rumours. Arjun, Sangeeth’s accident

According to Manorama News, Arjun and Sangeeth were involved in an accident in Kochi at 1:45 am on Saturday when their car collided with two motorcycles and overturned on MG Road. Sangeeth suffered a broken neck while a motorcycle rider, who was delivering food, sustained a foot injury.

An experienced stunt driver was behind the wheel while Arjun was in the front and Sangeeth was in the back. All those involved were taken to the hospital and the police have registered a case of reckless driving.

Sangeeth’s statement

Sangeeth shared a long message on Instagram confirming the news and wrote, “We had an accident yesterday and thankfully we are all safe. I have been under observation for the last 24 hours and will be leaving the hospital tomorrow. Thank God I have a minor injury but I am better now.”

He thanked fans for all the “love and concern” and said he was “safe now” and needed “a few days of rest.” He also clarified that contrary to rumors, he had not filed any complaints against the driver, writing: “I want to clear up all rumors, including the lawsuit I filed against the driver. There has been no such lawsuit from my side.”

Sangeeth ended the message by saying that he couldn’t wait to return to his “favourite place”. “The production of the bromance will continue in the next few days and we will be seen on the big screen soon,” he concluded. Arjun also shared the message on his Instagram stories.
