Minor girl raped in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old man in a village field in the Sahaswan area of ​​this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on July 29.

“The alleged incident took place on the evening of July 28 when the girl was in the field,” they said. The accused, who fled after the incident, hailed from the same village.

Police said the girl was rescued by villagers who arrived at the scene after hearing her screams and then took her to a hospital.

“Based on a complaint from the girl’s family, an FIR has been filed and efforts are on to nab the accused,” said Saurabh Singh, house officer of Sahaswan station. “The girl’s condition is stable,” he added.
